Well, I didn't want to have to take the time to do it but now I'm glad that I did...I CANNED TOMATOES. I like canning peaches much better (sweeter smelling and less acidic on the skin). But our garden produced a ton, A TON of tomatoes. There are still a lot of green ones left on the vine. But after an afternoon's work, I canned 13 jars.

It's a lot of work but seeing all those finished jars always makes you feel so good! It's especially satisfying when the fruit comes out of your own garden.
That's awesome! Wish I had the gumption to do that, but I'm way too lazy. You'll enjoy those in your winter soups for sure!!
Alison, you're not lazy...look at all you do with the scrapbooking, gallery prints, etc. Besides, you're pregnant, right? You don't have to do a darn thing.
Look at you little domestic goddess. What beautiful color!
Wow, I'm impressed. How you find time to work, train for triathlons, raise 3 kids and can tomatoes is incredible. I'm just trying to keep 2 kids alive and still remember to brush my teeth twice a day!!
they look beautifully delicious. good work.
Shelley, you're probably a better mom than I am...besides, my kids are getting more independent every day. I just do a little bit of everything and not a lot of one thing. It works.
